6 ESSENTIAL RULES OF DESIGNING YOUR IDEAL LIFE

By Andy Shaw

Follow This Simple Advice To Instantly Change Your Life

Are you Mr, Mrs or Miss Bump?… No? Are you sure?

Nearly all people live their entire lives without a design, without a journey plan, which means of course they live their life without a map. They go on the most amazing journey of all yet they do it without a map…

Virtually everyone on Earth lives their life by accident bumping into things wondering what happened, and wondering why their life isn’t going to plan. But it is going to plan, they and probably you, failed to plan so of course, they and probably you by default planned to fail… (have you had enough of living this way yet?) Nearly every single person on earth is Mr, Mrs or Miss Bump!

Would you consider EVER going on a car journey to somewhere you have never been before without a map?

No, of course you wouldn’t, that would be insane wouldn’t it… After all how would you know where to go? Where the heck would you end up if you had no map? Your journey would not be successful and would end in a pathetic waste of time and energy…

Yet you do not give a moment’s thought about a map for your life. You do not think that if you want to end up where you want to get to in life (I.e. become a success in something), then maybe you should give just a tiny fraction of your consideration to getting some sort of map put together…

“Successful people didn’t need a map to learn to walk and neither did you. But then you didn’t have a load of bad thinking dominating your mind then did you?”

It is so obvious that one is needed when spelt out, it is unbelievable that everyone does not have one…

But they don’t, and that is because they are not the rulers of their mind, as their mind does not give them the obvious stuff! Instead it confuses them and tells them that sorting out a map will be hard work, will take a long time and will of course be very painful… And guess what? 99.86% of people believe them and so don’t have one.

They go on the most amazing journey of all… with no plan, no map… just bumping into things and going off in different directions. They are on the journey of their lives with no sense of direction. Is it any wonder they end up lost and confused?

Is this you?

A map though is just a map of your dreams and it is a map to the most wonderful location. So how come nearly all people associate this with work and pain? Because we are not the rulers of our mind and we have lost touch with the fact that our mind should work for us, not the other way around.

Knowing What You Want (The Secret Of How To Change Your Life)

The secret to living the life you desire is VERY simple, you just have to first know what you want… Sounds simple because it is, but I could go to a room with 1,000 people in it and not find one who could give me definite directions to what they want. So if you are not living the life you desire, you do not know what you want.

And the opposite of course is if you don’t know what you want, you have little to no chance of ever getting it… You know how difficult it can be to get the stuff you do know what you want… Then it should be crystal clear to you right now that trying to get something you don’t know what you want is impossible right?

So if you want to know what your BIGGEST priority must be in life, if you want to get the life you desire, it is simple… You’ve got to figure out what you want… Or …You WON’T get it!

So here’s a simple technique to figuring it out:

1. Make a list of all your desires

That’s everything you desire… All holidays, all toys, all personal needs, all emotional needs… Everything you don’t have and everything you do have but you want more of.

2. Rank them 1 to 100%

Now go through them one at a time and rank them on a percentage basis. 100% = “I MUST have this in my life, it is what I want to do with my life.” Right down to 60%, “Yes I’d really like this in my life but if it didn’t happen then I’m ok with it.”

You probably won’t have any on there that are less than 60%. And not all of them will fit in the top 10%, as if they do, you’ll never get anywhere… So rank them appropriately.

Be careful not to give them a higher ranking because you think you should… Because, “What would someone else think?” This is not about someone else, it’s about you and you have to tell yourself the truth if you want this to work.

Spend some time doing this, it’s not painful as it’s you dreaming about your most pleasurable life. Imagine yourself as a child again dreaming about your ideal life and go and have some fun and do it… After all your current plan isn’t working is it, so it’s time for a new one.

3. For now just focus on the 90 – 100% range.

Sift through and re-order your desires. Rank them highest at the top. For now you are going to focus only on the desires you have in the top 10%.

Go through each desire in turn. Start to feel what it would feel like to have each of these desires. Then re-rank them if the figure you’ve given them no longer feels right. Move them up or down, but let your feelings guide you only when you have managed to feel what it will feel like to feel having them.

Don’t worry, you are only dreaming at the moment, your ego has nothing to fear. I’m not asking you to go and create them, you are just dreaming as if you were a child again. And there is nothing to fear from dreaming.

Your ego may say something to you now like… “Yes but don’t get your hopes up…” or something similar… If you hear that sentence then you have come to the right place as that voice is not helping you live the life you want.

4. Feel grateful

Feel grateful in turn for each of the desires in your top 10%.

Feel again what it would be like to have them and then feel grateful for having them. Get in touch with this feeling.

Spend enough time here feeling it so that when you think of your desire again you can switch this feeling on easily. You are creating a memory of how you felt to HAVE what you desire.

5. Monitor your thoughts

As you do all of this, monitor your thoughts. If you feel like it write them down… Things like, ‘Well that’s never going to happen!’ Or ‘That’s just not realistic!’

Monitor these thoughts, get in touch with your feelings towards them. It is those thoughts and that voice saying them which is keeping you away from the life you desire.

That voice is not you by the way. That voice is the build up of junk (the bugs) in your mind which has happened throughout your life and has created an entity which dwells in your mind 24/7.

You know it, as the voices that always fill up the silence in your mind, never giving you a moment’s peace… Well they come from this entity. This entity tells you that it’s your friend, but it’s not…

However, it will probably convince you that it is and send you back to sleep very shortly after reading this. If you do not have the life you desire it is because you are not the controller of your mind. You have allowed an entity in which keeps you trapped where you are. The only way you can defeat this entity is by remaining awake and noticing when it speaks to you.

If you feel that every year is getting shorter and shorter as you age then it is, because you are spending more and more of each year asleep at the wheel while this entity runs your life on auto-pilot.

The weapon you have which can defeat it is your presence, so monitor what you are thinking to ensure you keep the bugs out.

6. Be prepared to act

Once you know what you truly desire and you have felt what it feels like to be grateful for having it, you are ready to listen to your intuition. What you have done is shown your subconscious mind what you want.

You have shown it this by feeling grateful for it. So right now your subconscious mind is looking for ways to bring that reality into your reality. Be prepared to listen to your intuition. Look out for subtle inspirations you get.

When you get one then analyze it. Does it feel like it came from your intuition or does it feel like a voice in your head said yes do it. Avoid what the voices tell you, they are guiding you the wrong way. Wait for the feelings as the voices will lie to you but your emotions will not.

Learn to trust your emotions again and you really can have what you desire.

This was a very brief guide of all that is needed to create the life you desire. I guarantee that if you have no plan currently and you do not decide to read the full detailed explanation I give in Using A Bug Free Mind for how to get the life you desire…

Then what I have given you here has 1,000 times more chance of working than your current plan of ‘no plan’. So I would strongly recommend you apply this technique as your life is too short to live with no sense of direction.

However, if you want the full explanation and all the subtle mindset issues which will come up as you go deeper into your plan, then you will enjoy reading the full A Bug Free Mind process laid out in my two books.

The first book “Creating A Bug Free Mind” removes all the bugs and is the world’s 1st antivirus for the human mind. The second book is “Using A Bug Free Mind” and is the world’s 1st success guidance system for the human mind.

But I encourage you not to take my word for how good these are and how much they can bring success to your life. In fact I would like you to not believe me, but go and try the first five chapters of “Creating A Bug Free Mind” out for yourself right now.

Because when you do then so much change will happen for you just from those first few chapters that you will know for sure that the rest of the books… will be the secret missing pieces you have been looking for to bring success together for you.

JUST A HABIT

By Glenda Feilen

It’s a habit that can bring you money, success, happiness, and empowering relationships. It’s a habit you want to cultivate. It’s a habit only a minority of people have. What is it? It is the way you respond to any given situation, circumstance, or event.

You want to respond like a happy, successful person responds—right? Dr. James Hardt, the world’s expert on brain waves, tells us that the brainwave activity of a happy, successful, optimistic person is completely different from the responses of a person who is unhappy, pessimistic, and unsuccessful.

This is supported by over 25 years of cognitive research by Dr. Martin Seligman of the University of Pennsylvania. After years of exploring response patterns, he found that the optimistic, successful people interpret events in a way that keeps their minds positive and their emotions under control.

How do they do that? They have a habit! That habit is to talk to themselves in positive ways. Whenever they experience any adversity or problem, they quickly describe it to themselves in a way that destroys its ability to trigger negative emotions or feelings of helplessness in themselves. The way they describe these events actually creates a sense of control.

Since ninety five per cent of what you think and say today is exactly what you thought and said yesterday, and the day before that, and the day before that, how you respond is a habit!

Dr. Seligman named his book Learned Optimism because he said responding this way is just a habit and habits can be changed!

Our habits can be chains that bind us and keep us from living life to the fullest. The chains of habits are generally too small to be felt until they are too strong to be broken easily. Breaking a habit simply takes focus and patience. It seems to me this habit is one that will change the course of your life forever when you learn to respond as happy, successful, prosperous people do.

You can learn to talk to yourself in a positive way no matter what situation you’re in. Next time you feel discouraged—take control. You should be, and can be, your own best coach!

15 KEYS TO INCREDIBLE CONFIDENCE

By Mr. Self Development

There is no such thing as “confidence;” there is only confident behavior that results from confident thinking.

“Confident” people are people who are in the habit of portraying confident behaviors. The more you “act” confidently, the more confident you will become.

You start off “faking” confidence, and you actually trick your mind into thinking that you are a confident person. The more you fake it, the more genuine the confidence becomes.

Thinking confidently is a choice, you can choose to be shy and quiet, or you can choose to be confident.

There are times when you “act” shy, and there are times when you “act” confidently. You are completely in control! Don’t buy into the lie that you are “shy” around strangers or in front of a large crowd. No! You “act” shy when you want to act shy; you flip a switch and you say “Now I’m going to act shy, because I don’t know these people.”

Stop switching that shy switch; decide that you will be confident when you want to be confident. Flip the confidence switch, and people will be amazed at the difference. Imagine you’re an actor; you have to learn how to turn the confidence on, and turn it off.

What does confidence look like?

Think of a time when you were confident, either talking to a group, or one-on-one with someone. How did you act; how did you speak; did you make large hand gestures? That’s what confidence looks like on you; now all you have to do is to channel that version of you whenever you want to appear confident, that’s the secret.

Below I have documented fifteen behaviors to remind you of what confidence looks like.

Remember, when you have confident behavior, that behavior will notify your mind that you are confident. Thereby increasing your confidence, and round-and-round we go, until you have incredible confidence and poise as a result of practicing confident behaviors.

15 Keys to Incredible Confidence:

1. Take Up Space

Confident people lean back in their chairs, they make large purposeful hand gestures, they spread out their files when in a meeting, they take up space…they don’t have a problem taking up space, you should do the same; don’t shrink, expand to show confidence.

2. Don’t Fidget

Can you imagine James Bond fidgeting, it’s not very becoming; you want to appear perfectly in control of every bodily movement. All of your movements should be meaningful, they should matter. You must make purposeful movements to appear confident.

3. Stand Erect

Stand tall, even when you’re sitting. A great posture is a sure fire way to ensure that you both look and feel confident. Chest out, shoulders back, and keep your head level: both vertically and horizontally. This will help you to exude confidence. You should walk as if you’re being pulled perfectly upright by a string in the sky (attached to the top of your head).

4. Speak Slowly, and with Confidence

If you speak a million miles/kilometers a second, then it’s hard to sound confident. Confident people take their time when they speak, because they are confident enough to believe that you will wait to hear what they have to say. Don’t rush; pause, take your time, and be relaxed when you speak.

You always want to appear to be cool, calm and collected. The more nervous you are, the slower you should speak; speak as if you’re talking to a child. Speaking slowly will help you to re-gain your confidence.

5. Be Yourself

Often people say, “Act like someone else, if you want to appear confident.” I think that’s bad advice; it’s too much to think about. Act like yourself! You’ve been confident before, you know what confidence looks like on you. That’s the confidence that you need to bring to the table. Be your confident self, be bold; don’t make excuses! Remember how you acted when you were confident in the past; turn on that confidence switch.

6. Pay Attention and Make Eye Contact

Confident people pay attention to others because they’re not overly focused on themselves.

When you focus on others you will appear more engaged, charismatic and confident. When you listen to others, with your ears as well as with your eyes, you will be able to ask great questions. Others will interpret your engagement, eye contact, and interaction as pure confidence.

7. Move Slow

Think of a lion; slow purposeful movements, exuding confidence, knowing that you can do what you will.

Slow down to speed up your confidence. Don’t be like a roach, panicking at every sudden movement by another; you want to be graceful and elegant. Powerful and poised!

8. Ruffle a Few Feathers

Confident people don’t mind ruffling a few feathers. I’m not saying that you should ruffle feathers for the sake of ruffling feathers. I am saying that you should stick up for what you believe in, and if you have to ruffle a few feathers in the process, then that’s what you have to do. The goal of appearing confident is not to get people to like you, necessarily, but to respect you.

9. Steeple Your Hands

When you steeple your hands (pressing the fingers of one hand, against the fingers of your other hand in the shape of a steeple), you signal to others, as well as to yourself, that you’re confident. Try using this steeple gesture when you’re not feeling confident as a way to conjure up additional confidence.

10. Don’t Try to Please Everyone

Does a king try to please everyone; no it’s the courtier in the King’s court constantly bowing and gesturing for approval. Confident people are not dependent on the constant acceptance of others. Act like a king, confident people do not obsess with pleasing everyone.

11. Pause Before You Speak

Nervous people can’t help but to try to fill every silent moment with meaningless chatter. They can’t wait for the conversation to be over, and so they try to speed through it. Confident people are comfortable with silence.

To show extreme confidence, pause a second or two before you speak. Think about what the other person has said before you respond; let your face show that you’re pondering their thoughts. This will significantly increase how confident you appear.

12. Don’t Cackle

Don’t give away a laugh too easily, don’t be a cackler. It doesn’t come across very confidently. Make people work for a good laugh; you can flash them a smile, or a calm chuckle, but don’t give away the circus too easily.

13. Don’t Offer Constant Reassurance

When speaking with others, try the single head nod, versus the “bobble head doll” version of saying yes constantly. When you agree, give a single nod.

It’s difficult to look confident when your head is bouncing around on your neck like a bobble head doll.

14. Do Everything in the Open, Nothing in the Dark

Occasionally, being nervous arises from doing things that you’re not supposed to be doing. If you have to constantly look over your shoulder, perhaps you should reconsider you’re activities. Confidence comes from within; to exude confidence, you must have a clear conscious, and you must speak and live from a place of authenticity.

15. Finally, If You Don’t Know, Say You Don’t Know

If you want to convince someone that you know what you’re talking about, give them a timely, “I don’t know the answer to that question yet.” Confident people recognize that they can’t possibly know the answer to every question, and they are confident enough to let you know they don’t know. When you don’t know the answer, don’t fumble around; just say you don’t know yet. This will help you to exude confidence.

In Closing

You absolutely have what it takes to be confident, starting today, right now! You don’t have to sign-up for a confidence course or read a dozen more articles or books. You just have to turn on the switch; you’ve been confident in the past, and you can be confident whenever you so choose.

Choose to be confident, practice confidence, practice turning on your confidence in the grocery store, in the mall, or when hanging out with friends, so when you really need it, it will be there.

Thank you for reading!

10 STRATEGIES FOR INCREASING YOUR CREATIVITY

By Daniel Burrus, 10 Strategies for Increasing Your Creativity

Are you a creative person? Most people like to think they are. But the fact is that we can all benefit from a boost to our creative juices.
Those who are truly creative don’t copy what others do; instead, they might use innovative ideas from others as a springboard to come up with a unique application, product, or service for themselves. They tend to distance themselves from the competition rather than compete with them. If they see another company or person copying what they do, they create something new and better. In other words, they are able to leverage their creativity and their innovative capabilities to attain long-term success.

So would you like to be more creative than you are right now? Here are 10 strategies for increasing your level of creativity.

1. Truly creative people have developed their ability to observe and to use all of their senses, which can get dull over time. Take time to “sharpen the blade” and take everything in.

2. Innovation is based on knowledge. Therefore, you need to continually expand your knowledge base. Read things you don’t normally read.

3 Your may limit your reasoning. Be careful about how you’re perceiving things. In other words, defer judgment.

4. Practice guided imagery so you can “see” a concept come to life.

5. Let your ideas “incubate” by taking a break from them. For example, when I’m working on a big business project, one of the best things I can do to take a break from it is play my guitar or the flute for a few minutes, or take a ride on my motorcycle. It shifts my brain into another place and helps me be more innovative and creative.

6. Experience as much as you can. Exposure puts more ideas into your subconscious. Actively seek out new experiences to broaden your experience portfolio.

7. Treat patterns as part of the problem. Recognizing a new pattern is very useful, but be careful not to become part of it.

8. Redefine the problem completely. One of the lines I’ve been sharing for the past few decades is: “Your problem is not the problem; there is another problem. When you define the real problem, you can solve it and move on.” After all, if you had correctly defined the real problem, you would have solved it long ago because all problems have solutions.

9. Look where others aren’t looking to see what others aren’t seeing.

10. Come up with ideas at the beginning of the innovation process … and then stop. Many times we come up with several ideas and start innovating, and then we come up with more ideas and never get any single idea done. At some point you have to turn off the idea generation part of the process and really work on the innovation and execution part in order to bring a project to life.

No matter what your expertise or what industry you’re in, you can become a lot more creative in what you do. In fact, when you apply creativity to every aspect of your business, you are able to stay ahead of a changing marketplace and the competition, and attain long-term success.

15 LESSONS FROM RICHARD BRANSON

By Nick Scheidies, Income Diary

Richard Branson isn’t your average billionaire.

He’s a worldwide celebrity, an ardent humanitarian, and the he once tried to circumnavigate the world in a hot air balloon.

Branson knows a lot about business (as evidenced $4.2 billion net worth), but he also has a knack for adventure and living life to the fullest. Enjoy the lessons on life and business below.

#1 Your Age Doesn’t Matter

Richard was just 16 years old when he had his first business success, a magazine called Student. By 22, he had founded Virgin Records.

Branson is proof that it’s never too early to start.

But at 61, he’s also proof that being old is just a state of mind: Branson regularly kite surfs and attempts to break world records (e.g. a 2008 attempt to break the world record for sailing across the Atlantic).

#2 Think Laterally

The sky is the limit for your business, but that doesn’t mean that the only direction to grow is up.

Branson’s magazine led him to sell records. His record store led him to start a label, which led him to buy a recording studio and a night club.

By starting ventures in complementary industries, Branson created a network of businesses that reinforce one another. It’s much easier to promote a new musical artist when you own a night club, a magazine, and a record shop.

#3 Work for Free

How does a no-name record label sign its first artist?

Virgin Records did it by offering to let multi-instrumentalism Mike Oldfield use their recording studio for free. The recording sessions led to Tubular Bells (1973), Virgin’s first release and a best-seller.

When you’re trying to get your foot in the door in a new industry, sometimes the quickest way to make money is by doing something for free.

#4 Be Controversial

Branson signed the Sex Pistols to his label after other major labels (EMI and A&M) had dropped them for their penchant for creating controversy and mayhem.

The Sex Pistols lived up to their reputation and broke up not long after signing with Virgin Records. But their acquisition broadened Virgin’s profile and gave them an upper hand in the booming punk rock scene.

It’s natural to steer away from controversy, but if you’re willing to seek it out, you can draw attention to your business while cashing in on opportunities that others were too timid to take.

#5 Diversify

After finding success in the record business, Branson dove into the transportation industry, founding Virgin Atlantic Airways in 1984. He’s since expanded his business ventures to include mobile phones, cosmetics, movies, and even his own cola.

Diversifying across industries doesn’t just keep things interesting for Branson, it also provides safety from the unpredictable ups and downs of any given industry.

Branson’s glad he didn’t stick to the just the record business: it has been in steady decline since Napster launched in 1999.

#6 Love Your Business

When Branson sold the Virgin record label to EMI in 1992, for £500 million, he was brought to tears.

A lot of people would probably cry tears of joy if they just made that kind of cash (myself included), but Branson was crying because he was emotionally invested into his record label.

If you don’t want to put your heart and soul into your business, you shouldn’t start it in the first place.

#7 Opportunity is Constant

“Business opportunities are like buses, there’s always another one coming.”

Don’t be discouraged if a business venture doesn’t turn out like you hoped.

Instead, keep an eye out for the next big opportunity.

#8 Be a (Benevolent) Dictator

“I believe in benevolent dictatorship provided I am the dictator.”

Nobody can accuse Branson of being cold to his employees (he makes a habit of writing them personal letters), but he also embraces his role as a dictator.

If you want to be a leader in business, you can’t worry about what other people think. Exercise your power and act decisively.

#9 Success in School is Different than Success in Life

Richard Branson is dyslexic and he struggled in school before dropping out at the age of 16.

School is great at testing and rewarding certain skillsets, like the ability to memorize information and follow instructions. But those skills aren’t the only skills necessary for real life success.

#10 Learn by Doing

“You don’t learn to walk by following rules. You learn by doing, and by falling over.”

Branson started a magazine without ever having taken a journalism class and he became one of the world’s most successful businessmen without ever having taken a business class.

Don’t wait until you’re qualified to start doing what you want with your life. Just do it. You’ll make a ton of mistakes, but that’s the fastest way to learn.

#11 Be a Pioneer

In 2004, Branson founded Virgin Galactic – a space tourism company that will soon be taking sub-orbital vacations. So far, over 430 brave people have signed up to become Virgin Galactic astronauts.

The ticket price: $200,000.

Virgin Galactic is a great example of Branson’s willingness to explore new frontiers with his business ventures. Being a pioneer is risky, but it has a distinct advantage: when you pioneer an entirely new industry, beating the competition is a piece of cake.

#12 Look into the Future

Virgin Galactic is one of many instances in which Branson has anticipated an emerging market.

When Branson observed gasoline prices on the rise, he saw an opportunity to enter the fuel industry. The Virgin Green Fund invests worldwide in research and development of renewable fuel.

Given the global scarcity of gasoline, coupled with mounting consumption, it’s a good bet that Branson’s bet on alternative energy will pay off in the long run.

When you see current trends and project them into the future, you give your business a huge advantage for years to come.

#13 Screw Business as Usual

“Never has there been a more exciting time for all of us to explore this next great frontier where the boundaries between work and higher purpose are merging into one, where doing good really is good for business.”

The above is an excerpt from Branson’s brand new book, Screw Business as Usual, about how businesses can succeed by striving to make a positive impact on the planet (and not just make boatloads of money).

Branson argues that companies that treat their employees, their communities, and the environment better tend to have better long-term financial growth and a healthier brand.

When you make a positive impact with your business, you’re not just making the world a better place. You’re also contributing to the long-term success of your company.

#14 Give Back

“If I get frustrated by something, then I like to try to put it right.”

Branson’s businesses may make the world a better place, but that hasn’t stopped him from entering into the realm of non-profit humanitarian efforts.

He’s taken on AIDS (Virgin Healthcare Foundation), nuclear weapons (Global Zero), and even war itself (The Elders).

After a chat with Al Gore over breakfast about climate change, Branson decided that global warming was a legitimate crisis. He subsequently pledged an enormous $3 billion to help solve it.

Obviously, giving back doesn’t help Richard’s bottom line. But my guess is that it brings him satisfaction beyond words.

#15 Enjoy the Simple Things

“Right now I’m just delighted to be alive and to have had a nice long bath.”

Richard Branson lives a life that’s easy to envy. His wealth allows him to travel the world, meet influential people, and do it all in style.

But while yachts and jewelry are nice, they won’t give you real satisfaction. That’s something that can only grow out of an appreciation for the simple things, like your health, your loved ones, and a nice long bath.

Don’t wait until you’re “successful” to enjoy yourself. Start now and enjoy the way up.
